Taylor Carol is a 12-year-old cancer survivor. Taylor has worked with HopeLab before, helping to spread the word about the video game Re-Mission. Taylor would love to be able to help fight childhood obesity.

Jim Cuthbertson, MD
Pediatrician San Francisco Bay Area
Jim Cuthbertson has been a pediatrician in Berkeley, California for 30 years. He was born and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, went away to Swarthmore College, but returned for medical school and pediatric training at Stanford Universiry. Jim is on the Board of Trustees of Alta Bates Summit Medial Center and formerly was on the Board of Prospect Sierra School for many years. For fun he hikes, bikes, runs, and skis. He has a grown son and daughter and lives in the East Bay.

Fred Dillon Director of Product Development, HopeLab Redwood City, California
Fred Dillon provides planning and project management leadership in the development of HopeLab’s innovative products to improve the health and quality of life of young people with chronic illness. He leads interdisciplinary teams of HopeLab staff, vendors and external collaborators to vet, develop and refine potential innovative products consistent with HopeLab’s strategic plan and program emphases. Fred works closely with HopeLab’s Research unit to ensure that HopeLab product development is linked with high-quality research and that HopeLab customers are involved every step of the way. Fred has over 12 years of public policy, communications and project management experience. Most recently he served as Deputy Executive Director for Policy and Communications at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF), where he oversaw all aspects of the agency’s government affairs and communications efforts. Fred is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied Social Welfare and Public Policy.

Chris Economos, Ph.D. Professor of Nutrition Science and Policy, Tufts University Boston, Massachusetts
Chris Economos is the New Balance Chair in Childhood Nutrition and Assistant Professor at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. Her research efforts have addressed the interaction between exercise, diet, body composition, bone health, and the built environment through longitudinal studies and lifestyle interventions to prevent osteoporosis and obesity, starting in early childhood. Chris has served as the principal investigator of two large-scale interventions examining childhood nutrition and physical activity with the goal of inspiring behavior change to improve the health of America’s children. Her expertise includes developing and applying behavior change strategies with children and families to improve diet and physical activity, working effectively with diverse communities, as well as crafting, implementing and evaluating nutrition education curriculum. Her work engages theory and scientific evidence as vehicles to spark systemic, community-based change.

Patricia Gutierrez Psychologist Guadalajara, Mexico
Patricia Gutierrez is a psychologist that has been working with youth in Guadalajara, Mexico for more than 15 years. She has a Masters in Education from the Universidad de Guadalajara. She is a teacher and a coach for youngsters, and her professional life is devoted to ensure that they make the best out of the opportunities they are given. Patricia works with kids between 13 and 18 years of age and really understands their interests and motivations. As a Program Coordinator, she works with many other teachers that share her passion to help young people achieve their full potential. They are constantly on the look-out for new tools that encourage kids to take control of their destiny. Patricia sees Ruckus Nation as a precursor that will give a voice to talented young people to share their ideas and hopefully start changing the world, one step/jump/skip at the time.

Albert "Skip" Rizzo, PhD Virtual Reality Researcher, University of Southern California
Albert "Skip" Rizzo received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is a Research Scientist at the University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technologies and has a Research Professor appointment with the USC Department of Psychiatry and the School of Gerontology. Skip conducts research on the design, development and evaluation of Virtual Reality ("VR") systems targeting the areas of clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. In the motor domain, he has developed VR Game systems to address physical rehabilitation post stroke and following traumatic brain injury. In the psychological domain, his latest project has focused on the translation of the graphic assets from the Xbox game, Full Spectrum Warrior, into an exposure therapy application for combat-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with Iraq War veterans. He is also investigating the use of VR for pain distraction at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and is currently designing game-based VR scenarios to address issues of clinical targets with adults with TBI and stroke and with children having autistic spectrum disorder.
Michael R. Rosenfield Vice President, CIGNA HealthCare Bloomfield, Connecticut
Michael Rosenfield is Vice President, National Contracting and Medical Management with
CIGNA HealthCare, where he works closely with the medical community and key vendors to develop and promote unique programs that deliver cost effective health outcomes for CIGNA's members. Michael joined CIGNA HealthCare in February 2006 as a member of the Product division, responsible for defining and developing an enterprise wide eHealth strategy. In early 2007 he was named to lead the team that launched a joint initiative with HopeLab to distribute their Re-Mission video game, which is designed to help children afflicted with cancer battle the disease. He also currently serves as a liaison for the CIGNA Foundation and its relationship with the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Prior to joining CIGNA, Michael held a variety of customer-focused leadership positions in with GE, GE Capital, and Citigroup.

Janis Nakano Spivack is an accomplished creative executive and interactive media pioneer who brings 20-plus years of leadership and award-winning creative work to Reactrix, a digital out-of-home media company that delivers "high-engagement" branded experiences through its mall and theatre network.
Spivack was the founding chief creative officer of Organic, responsible for building, establishing, and maintaining creative excellence for the firm’s 10 international offices. Most recently she was vice president, creative, of There, a 3D virtual world, dubbed "Best of What's New in 2003" by Popular Science Magazine. Prior to Organic, Spivack co-founded goFISH! an online advertising resource; consulted for Nike.com, Disney.com and Turner New Media; and led the content design of a breakthrough children’s 3D interactive tv network, daVinci Time & Space.
Janis began her career in traditional advertising working with Fortune 500 companies,and specializes in bridging the divide between traditional media and new consumer-centric, media platforms.

Lalita Suzuki, Ph.D. Senior Research Analyst, HopeLab Redwood City, California
Lalita Suzuki is responsible for developing and conducting research projects that play a key role in the development of HopeLab's interactive technology solutions for young people with chronic illness. She has extensive experience in leading, managing, and training research and software production teams, with special expertise in the areas of cross-cultural psychology, child development and educational software design. Lalita conducts ongoing research in direct support of HopeLab's development efforts, including questionnaire studies of young people with cancer, assessments of Internet usage among adolescents, and literature reviews about youth with chronic illnesses. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University (1993) and her Ph.D. in Psychology from UCLA (2000).
